Hi there! I’m Nicole.
A translator slash editor by day, writer by night, I live between Germany and the Canary Islands, am mom to the best dog in the world named Reba (as in, McIntire), a kitten named Watson (as in, Joan), and I like Piña Coladas.
(And gettin’ caught in the rain.)
A bit of an eco-warrior, I connected my passion for the environment, ethics, and etiquette to my work, aiming to do my share in spreading the good word.
I provide first-class translation and related word work for books and publications that aim to inspire readers, both the young and the grown, to greatness.
Am I suitably equiped to help you publish your work in German? You tell me:
I graduated top of state as a commercial correspondent and hold post-graduate diplomas from leading institutions on: Communications (New York State University), Social Entrepreneurship (Copenhagen Business School), and Brand Management (University of Southern California). Currently, I’m putting finishing touches on a double Masters degree in Localization and Technical Communication (Strasbourg University).
In business since 2002, I’m proud of my extra-curriculars: translator/editor for Translators without Borders, 2016/17 president of the German translators’ association DVÜD, and member of renowned writer and translator associations ATA, ALTA, AWP, and PEN America.
Some favorite projects of mine:
Eine Stimme für Frühchen: Vorlesegeschichte am Inkubator (Editing)
Siebenzahl: Ein kriminell veganer Roman (Editing)
Think Vegan (Translation and Editing)
Heartmade International (PR Writing)
Anna’s Blattgold (Translation)
Let’s talk about you, though!
What I can do to help YOU meet your German audience at eye-level and move across your new dance floor with confidence and grace.
My superpowers are at your service.
Let’s turn your story into a German bestseller.
